The "Synthesis Exercise - Small Residence for a Couple" is a detailed hand-drafting project that concentrates on the creation of a comprehensive set of architectural drawings for a residential space, including floor plans, sections, and interior elevations. This project aims to blend aesthetic appeal with functional living spaces tailored specifically for a couple's needs.
DESIGN CONCEPT
In developing these plans, I focused on detail and organization to create a functional, intimate space for a couple. The floor plans balance ensures flow and utility. Sections highlight the vertical integration of elements, with careful attention to scale and proportion to maintain openness yet privacy. Detailed furnishings reflect a comprehensive vision for the residence's aesthetics and functionality.
THE BEACH CONDO
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This project is an exercise in digital drafting proficiency using AutoCAD. I was tasked with developing detailed architectural plans for a condo, including floor, reflective ceiling, and furniture plans, as well as various elevation and section views—all while adhering to specific scale requirements.
DESIGN CONCEPT
The process for this project began with conceptualizing a modern, airy condo that captures the essence of coastal living. The project unfolded through careful drafting of a floor plan that maximized natural light and ocean views. Each drawing layer was utilized to highlight different aspects of the design, from the sturdy walls and large windows to the subtle placement of furniture and fixtures, all tied together in a cohesive presentation that epitomizes relaxed, sophisticated beach living.
